Quebec Parish Records incorrect
The FamilySearch attached records from this data set are wrong.
They have entered the date of birth as the christening dates on all.
Nancy Ann Dumas LYB1-2CF
Born 5 February 1857
Christened 12 July 1857
The FamilySearch attached record data states that she was
Christened 5 Feb 1857
By viewing the hand written entry on the scanned document it can be seen.

ie LWZ9-119 Agnes Gallagher, the FamilySearch record states baptized 26 October1858. That is her birth date. She was Baptized Jan 1st, 1859. The entire collection so far that I've seen has been this way.
Here is where you can see the hand written info in French.

Also this SAME error I have now found in the Scott christening records. In the Frence(above) there is only 1 date, so you have to read the original scanned document to be able to know. In the Scotiish record it
ACTUALLY states that the person was Christened BEFORE they were born.

@Anita Stark
Good evening.
This Community is composed primarily of users of the FamilySearch website. A few staff members participate, but it is after US business hours.
When the image can be accessed directly from the URL, we users can edit the index.Older records, such as your first Canadian example, cannot be accessed directly at this time. FamilySearch is working on connecting those older indexes to the images. Then we users will be able to correct more records.
URL of the image: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-8993-4V49?i=266&groupId=1321742&lang=enFor the Scottish example, images are limited-access, available only at FamilySearch Centers and Affiliate Libraries. It may be possible to edit the index while at one of those locations.

I'm at my FamilySearch Center this afternoon, and I took the time to verify that the Scottish record you mentioned, above, cannot be user-edited. It, too, is a "detached index," as I described in my earlier comment. When we see this pop-up
that indicates a detached index, and we are unable to edit.
For what it is worth, James Girdwood was born 16 JUNE and baptized 15 July. DGS 8059251 Image 311 of 650.
Early indexers may be forgiven for errors they made when indexing manually from microfilm or from photocopies of microfilm and pen and paper. In fact, the double page showing James Girdwood's baptism has many dates that are out of chronological order.
An index is a Finding Aid, designed to help users find records. An index is not an exact transcription.4 -
You just told me he was baptized before he was born in your above comment.

Actually, I said the opposite. He was born in June and baptized in July of the same year.

I had meant to bring to the attention of FamilySearch that the entire batch is done wrong. I first phoned FamilySearch, and was told to put the concern here.
Waiting for the images to be attached to the individual indexes and then individually correcting each one is not the answer I was hoping for.
In the French records, AI has put the date of birth as the Christening date. It could be a simple fix to change the entire batch by a correction of the category. Thank-you.

As I mentioned before, this Community is primarily users of the site, not staff.
I am just a frequent user of the site. I can make no changes.
You may wish to use the relatively new Records Issue form.
You'll find it at the top of the Search category.
https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/searchDirect link to the form: https://forms.monday.com/forms/b2bab1e388c382c1ea229e6391abe7a3?r=use1
Best of luck in your future searches.
