Very interesting age claim? How to spot true baptismal?
Good day. Today, I saw a 1928 death record https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6GTW-ZDQ?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AWX6N-YHW2&action=view&cc=2861657&lang=en&groupId=M9C1-5KL) of my great great great grandfather, Mariano Ordas (P777-8LR). I am skeptical about the age claim because its listed his age as….115 anos. This will put his birth at 1813. Obviously, this is not true, there had been only 3 men in the history of the planet that lived to 115 with PROOF (Christian Mortensen, Emiliano Mercado Del Toro, and Jiroemon Kimura). So, how to spot his record, or in the very least, have a clue of an approximation of his true age.

Hi @Evan Peter90.
You are right to be skeptical. I have an ancestor who "lived to 108" when in reality, it was closer to 96; so, it's possible something like that happened here. It's also possible the recorder simply wrote the wrong number.
Documents like censuses may have his correct age. Looking at the birth years of his children might also give you some clues, as he was almost certainly over 21 when his eldest child was born.
@Evan Peter90, I'd recommend posting your question again in the Asia Research group where their expertise can best guide you.
