I would like to make corrections to several records, but I need some sort of "special privilage"

Several records and transcriptions related to an ancestor of mine have her, and some of her ancestor's names incorrectly transcribed. I was able to correct the spelling of her name on one transcription, but on other's I get told that to do that I need special a privilege.

I would like to make these corrections. What sort of privilege do I need, and how do I obtain it?

Some records can only be edited while at a FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library. The messages are not always as clear as we might like.
If you are comfortable sharing the URL/link of the record(s), someone may be able to give you more specific guidance.
If the record is a Find a Grave index, which has a similar message, you can suggest an edit on findagrave.com.
