Global Record Hints - IRELAND
I have been helping on Global Hinting Initiative for a few years now. Specifically IRELAND & suddenly 2 days ago it disappeared from drop down menu. "Region of the World" says United Kingdom & Ireland. But then from the subregions ONLY IRELAND IS MISSING. It still lists England, Scotland and Wales, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. I seriously doubt that the reason could be because there are no more hints available as FAQ suggests. I only work on Ireland specifically & have become very familiar with Irish records, placenames etc. I am very upset Ireland is gone from the lists & I cant continue my genealogy hobby.

It appears several recently reported problems may have the same root cause.
For exampleMany records are not appearing under the usual categories/locations. Some censuses are showing up under "Other" or "Miscellaneous" rather than in the "Censuses" category.
I believe the Irish record problem was first reported on Genealogy BlueSky by a well-known Irish genealogist.If the records aren't appearing under the correct category (Ireland), then the hinting algorithm won't find the records to suggest them.

General point about some current concerns. There are at least two separate major issues that are, as I understand it, under current investigation by FS engineers: one with interpreted/standardised places on Historical Records (in particular re Find a Grave, but also with censuses and no doubt elsewhere), and one with Collections (issue with record types/categories, with, I suspect, a lot of knock-on effects). A lot of problems reported here on Community could be related to one or both of these, or they might not be. It's important imo that we get a clear picture of the context/triage it a bit. It's not clear to me that the Global Hints Campaign is itself problematic - it's going to be reliant on Hinting working correctly; and either of the major issues I just mentioned could cause incorrect Hinting output.

It has been reported that there is a site-wide bug in Global Records hints. Here is the report from the engineers: “Update on the Global Record Hints page where US states were pulling up random European countries. Turns out it was a bug affecting the whole site and is being worked on right now!” This may or may not be related to the lack of inventory problem. We encourage patience as this is being investigated.
