Placeholder name for unknown given name
I have a 4th great-grandmother where atypically I know the surname and the parents but I don't know her first name. Would "Unknown" be the best choice. I use a question mark in my own file but that would not be good here. If there is a better or standard choice, let me know.

In accordance with FamilySearch tree guidelines, we do not insert a given name when it is unknown. You know her maiden last name but not her first name: Leave the first name blank, and enter just her maiden name in the last name field.

Thanks, that suits me, as long as other people understand.

@CMichael7 Please don't use a question mark as a placeholder for any person's given or surname - that only makes more work for anyone else researching the same line or person. Thanks

Well I guess you didn't read carefully. That is my personal system and it works for me in my own offline software.

@CMichael7 Or perhaps I didn't understand but that's normal for me - there are lots of times I don't understand and I certainly didn't mean to come across as a personal criticism of you or your methods - but I have seen lots of users using question marks, etc as placeholders and made an incorrect/wrong assumption - please forgive me
