The $64,000 question is - corrected to what?
I have taken a quick glance at the browse facility on Ancestry and it's not remotely clear to me what's going on. The image in question appears in Ancestry against Marton St Paul, but there is no correspondingly dated page for Poulton le Fylde. It is not clear, therefore, whether the 1772 baptisms for Poulton le Fylde have been totally lost, or have been bound into the Marton register. Or one of several other possibilities.
In fact, I have a distinct suspicion that the answer is "one of several other possibilities". The Lancashire RO once published "Yellow Pages" about their PRs. Poulton le Fylde is described as "Poulton le Fylde, St Chad" and Marton is described as "Marton St Paul (Poulton le Fylde)", so I fear that there is a confusion of naming.
Except, the more I dig down, the deeper the rabbit holes go.

has some remarks "Worship at Marton began in 1760 when Rev. Mr Gibson of Lytham came to the Charity School (Baines Endowed) to perform divine worship every alternate Sunday afternoon. Prior to this and every other Sunday the villagers of Marton had to walk to Poulton, well nigh impossible in winter due to the marshy conditions. It was another 40 years before Marton got it’s own church, a plain brick built church dedicated to St Paul opened in 1800. It was 1892 almost a hundred years later before a fee of £2.2s was paid for the separation from St Chad’s."
So, your guess is as good as mine where those baptisms took place because it is absolutely classic behaviour for one book to contain details for two physical churches managed by one clergyman.
I suspect, @HeapsDavidG9, that you need a seriously well informed person to interpret what's going on.

Similar examples are to be found elsewhere. Find My Past duplicates many records of the same events under the names of two places. The particular example I am currently encountering is where CMB events have been indexed as having taken place in both Ecclesfield and Bradfield in Yorkshire. It transpires Bradfield is actually a chapelry within the parish of Ecclesfield. Many of the pages from the completely separate Bradfield registers make this fact clear in their headings, so it is quite understandable that events are recorded as having taken place at both locations. What happens in such cases does not necessarily mean one of the names is "wrong", but can indeed lead to confusion as to the best way for the event to be indexed / recorded: e.g., the chapelry, the parish it lies within - or both!
