Find a Relative
I am trying to add my Mom to my tree, she has her own account and is living but it can't find her? I don't get it. It shouldn't be this hard……

To protect people's privacy, profiles which are designated "Living" are only viewable to the users who created them. Therefore, you will not be able to find each other doing a standard search.
You may want to consider a "Family Group Tree" so that the two of you can collaborate.

If you don't want to do the Family Group Tree, just add you mothers as a new person. She will have a different ID than on your mother's account. Then connect her to her parents. If they are deceased, you can use the same ID as on your mother's account. Once you do this, the rest of her tree will follow automatically. Just remember, you must individually load any living persons until you get to deceased ancestors.

Seems like I should be able to find here, then request a connection, that would come up on her account.That way when she build off her tree it show up on my tree.

@Kenneth.A.Johnston FamilySearch is required to follow all the privacy laws of every county where the website is used. Some of these are very strict. There is just no way around them. What seems should be easy to do requires a battalion of lawyers to make sure it is done without FamilySearch being slapped with massive fines (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GDPR_fines_and_notices ) and generally can't be done.
It took years for FamilySearch to develop the Family Group tree system in a way that doesn't trigger privacy violations.
If you and you mother want to see the same living people, then you will want to go the Family Group tree route.
As stated above, there are no privacy concerns for deceased people. Once you are working on them, not only you and your mother see the same, single, only profile for a person, all users also see that one profile per deceased person and work on it if there is a need.
To re-iterate an important point, in Family Tree, there is no your tree and no her tree, there is just The
Tree that we all work in together (except for those living profiles that all users have to create under their own accounts and that no one else can see).7
