A person who I am not related to seems obsessed with my family line and is going in and changing all my family history and making mistakes…they have now made a new record for my very much alive grandfather and made him deceased and I cannot fix it. Please help. also is there any way I can give my family preference to doing my own family's names? The excuse I keep getting is "we love doing italian names!!" but…its my family…please help.

    I'm sure it was upsetting to find a profile showing your living relative as deceased. I'm sorry that happened to you.


    It's very easy to fix.

    FamilySearch takes the privacy of the living very seriously. The last time I had to report a similar instance, the correction was made within the hour.
