Need a few pages from a hard copy book only found in SLC!
I'm trying to find a book apparently only the Family History library in Salt Lake holds (I've tried my local FHC), and it is said to be only in hard copy. The phone numbers I've tried for the library in SLC are all digitized now and tell you to make an appointment for research, etc. In the "old days", I thought you could speak directly to a volunteer who would be very happy to help!
Does anyone have any other ideas where to find this book or have any connections to the SLC library? I'd be very grateful! Die Familien des Kirchspiels Oppeln a.d. Aue, 1672–1900, by Rainer von Bargen, Deutsche Ortssippenbücher Band 292. I need pages 82–83. Many Thanks!

Looking at the WorldCat list of libraries which hold this book provided by @Áine.ní.Donnghaile, as a retired professional librarian I would suggest contacting either the Library of Congress Local History and Genealogy Section or the New York Public Library Genealogy Department as they would be the most likely libraries to assist you with those two pages. (Do note however that neither of these libraries may be willing or able to help you.) I would start with the Library of Congress since it is known as "the people's library". If one or the other of these two libraries can assist you, expect to pay a fee for perhaps searching,, copying, and postage.
Alternately, you could go to Cyndi's List online and look for genealogical volunteers and researchers in the Salt Lake City area who might be able to copy the needed pages on your behalf. Copying two pages from a copyrighted book for research purposes is considered "fair use" and does not infringe on the book's copyright.

Here's an update on what I've tried:
- I emailed the LOC "Ask a Librarian" but haven't received a response back.
- I called the NY Public library and they would charge $35 for the two pages of copies. Seemed high.
- I was hoping someone might own the book or have a pdf of it and could respond easily so I posted on several of the genealogy FB pages I belong to. Many great responses and see #5 below!
- Even though in some places it is marked that it is "online", when you click on that "online" button, it says online search only and you can't get the full info from that. Apparently the book is hard copy only.
- I found a new friend from one of the German FB groups I belong to, who is willing to go to the Harvard library for me once I saw that Harvard was one of the libraries listed. Amazing. Spoke to him today by phone.
- What a great and super-helpful community we have!!
