My families primarily come from PA, NC, SC, MO, GA, AL, MS, AR, & OK….Richard Lee Knight 1768 b. GA or SC?He married Martha Patsy Satterwhite daughter of Bartlett Satterwhite & Rebecca Davenport….she died in 1830s? not sure where, and do not know when they arrived in AL…? He lived & died (1855) in Coosa Co, AL. Trying to find his parents (need proof). Most of his 7 children, lived in and around this general AL area….

I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but your family is listed in FamilySearch. Richard Lee Knight, born in Georgia in 1768, profile LDQL-G2C. His wife, Martha Patsy Satterwhite also appears, profile L6B1-V2J. I feel certain that these are the people you have identified. You can look through their profiles and see all the information listed there, which may help you answer some of your questions. I also noticed that there is a banner requesting care when changing any of the listed information, and a note with a request for proof of the information. Maybe this will help you in your search. Oh yes, I've worked on that tree….I have research for over 25 years….but, my problem is that there is nothing I can find, before Richard Lee Knight on the 1850 census, in Coosa Co, AL….he died in 1855, this is my 3rdgrt grandfather….I have the lineage, complete, down thru his son, Enoch (my 2bd grt grandfather)…his grandson, John Walter (my 1st grt grandfather), his grt-grandaughter Susie Ellafair (my grandmother), and my mother, Lillie Ellen Barkhimer….but, no one has ever found Richard Lee Knight's parents or exactly where they came from….hoping that someone will have found them and have proof….Others have some, as parents, but, cannot be proven, and some are not even related to this line of Knights….Appreciate any NEW infomation….thanks
