Language Template for Names?

I saw in a recent FamilySearch online video session that the Language Template selected somehow impacts how 'behind the scenes' computer functions work.

Most I've been working with lately are 'English', but the several I added as 'Unconnected Person' shows 'Other'. Can anyone explain what the template does….????

So sounds like I should be using 'English' vice the default 'Other'

How long before we see "Latin" in names languages?
I brought this up in last Rootstech and it is a serious problem.
Georg Riplinger is one prime example. He's German but his names are written in Latin in church records.
