My Heritage Matches

I serve at a FamilySearch center and have noticed that not all patrons have access to My Heritage Matches in the Labs (not finding the experiment in labs to try it out). Is there some reason for this? It is not a FamilySearch cookies issue. We clear cookies on all the computers weekly and did so on Monday. I can access the experiment on my account on any of the 31 (Windows 11) computers in the Center. Is the experiment only being offered to a percentage of FS users?

@DEBassett570314 We were advised a few days ago that the MH Matches project is now in full release and, therefore, no longer listed in Labs.
    See this thread:

It has not been fully integrated. I just looked at a PID #KF2W-7FV that has 18 "My Heritage matches" on the profile page for the individual on my account (I have the experiment turned on). I just asked one of our patrons here at the Center (who is not seeing the experiment in the labs and cannot, therefore, turn it on), to look at the same PID in their account and there is no "My Heritage matches" window on the profile page of that person in the patrons account. ?????????

@DEBassett570314 You should see this on the right side of the person page. What do you see?

Yes, I see it in my account (the experiment is on), but the other patron does not see it in their account (the experiment is not on because they cannot access the experiment to turn it on). 😯

@DEBassett570314 MyHeritage is no longer an experiment, so you can't go to the experiments page and turn it on. It is supposed to be a fully released, fully supported integration. You might learn more about the feature in the MyHeritage Matches help page. If they are not seeing this please show a copy of what you do see.

Here is what a patron sees for PID# KF2W-7FV if not participating in the experiment:

Here is what I see, participating in the experiment:

Being out of labs and in full release must not be the same as being rolled out to all users. I don't have this feature yet either:

Nor me (UK non-LDS, never switched this Lab on).

I recall that when the DQS project transitioned out of Labs and into Full Release, there was a gap of a few days before it was available in all accounts.

It's possible to search in MyHeritage without the hints and attach most records found to the relevant FS profile.

An additional tidbit……if you are participating in the experiment (you can still see the My Heritage Matches window in Labs) do not turn it off and refresh the window. You won't see it in labs again and you won't get the hints anymore…….at least not until this issue is resolved.

@DEBassett570314 I submitted your comments to the feedback area of the My Heritage Project. This is the recommended way to get the issue directly to engineers. They have your contact information and may reach out with further questions.

For all: This is the URL with the feedback button for submitting problems or comments https://www.familysearch.org/en/access/myheritage/matches

The Feedback Button may be the preferred way to report, but it doesn't really allow reporting specifics.

@DEBassett570314 UPDATE - This is not a bug. My Heritage is still in Labs and is being rolled out gradually to all users. No information on when that will happen in full, but your patron may be able to sign up for access now. If it is not visible, they should continue to check back at the Experiments Page and turn on My Heritage when they can see it. https://www.familysearch.org/en/labs/

Update! - The "My Heritages Matches" experiment appears to be back in Labs, but when you click on it to try the experiment, it does not give you the "Turn On" tab to start using the experiment. You just get the explanation screen. ???
