Searching for lost relatives in Taiwan
Greetings!
I'm helping my friend, Andrew (Last name removed) (魏 name removed) in California USA to search for his long lost cousin in Taiwan, (陳 Name removed). Andrew has recently gone to the last known address at Taiwan (Address removed), but she has moved and no longer there.
Please let me know if this is appropriate to ask here, or direct me to the correct source. Very much appreciate your help!

It makes sense that you’d want to use FamilySearch to look for someone meaningful from your past, but it’s probably not the best platform for reconnecting with a living friend. FamilySearch is designed primarily for documenting ancestors and working with historical records, so it doesn’t offer the kinds of tools that help locate people who are still alive.
If you’re hoping to find someone today, you’ll have much better luck with platforms built for current connections—places like Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram. Even general search tools such as Whitepages or a simple Google search tend to surface more up‑to‑date public information than a genealogy site can.
