Image restriction help from Japan - Vincenzo David (Birth 1921)
Hello,
I am doing family research from Japan and I cannot access the image for my grandfather's birth certificate due to contract restrictions. Could a helper or volunteer at a FamilySearch Center assist me in looking up the image? Here are the record details:
- Name: Vincenzo David
- Event: Birth - 4 Jan 1921 (Roma, Lazio, Italy)
- Certificate Number: 73
- Document Link (ARK):
- "Italia, Roma, Stato Civile (Archivio di Stato), 1863-1930", FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X3DB-4ZCP : Thu Sep 18 23:36:15 UTC 2025), Entry for Vincenzo David and Pietro David, 4 Jan 1921.
Thank you very much for your help!

@A73849 The image for this record is available at a FamilySearch Center or Affiliated Library. If you are unable to travel to either of these, contractual agreements do not permit us to legally provide the image. I can, however verify that all indexed information on this record conforms to what is on the document. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X3DB-4ZCP?lang=en
The same is true for his twin brother found on the same image: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X3DB-4ZZD?lang=en

It is in fact possible to access 'FamilySearch Center only' material from any LDS Church building - see the relevant discussion in this thread:
Perhaps that may help with this research.

I live in Japan, I prefer only online search.

There are currently 56 Japan FamilySearch Centers (FSCs) listed here:
If that's no good, does this link help? There seem to be many non-FSC LDS buildings though obviously I have no idea how near they are to you - you should be able to access the information you require at any of their church buildings (not just FamilySearch Centers). Note that I am not in the US either and had no problem accessing FamilySearch Center content at the LDS building nearest to me, as I mentioned above.
If you definitely can't travel to a FSC or other LDS building, I would suggest contacting your nearest FSC to ask their advice.
Alternatively, does the input provided above by @SerraNola help at all?

Just to clarify, if you can visit a FamilySearch Center or other LDS Building, it will be online research. You can either use a computer in the Center or install the extension on your own computer to access FamilySearch Center Premium Content.2
