How do I correct that (without having to go to each individual photo)?

I entered my grandson’s middle name incorrectly into my Memories app when I tagged his face in several photos. How do I correct that (without having to go to each individual photo)?

I’m afraid that you will have to correct each misspelled name in Memories….. each tag is individual to that particular picture. Sorry about that. I think the corrections will be well worth your time and effort to identify the photos with the proper spelling of your grandson’s name. In order to do this, open the photo and click on the incorrect tag. Edit the name by clicking on the gear icon or directly on the name, edit the spelling and save. Click the tag to drag it to the correct face or to resize it. Hopefully it won’t take too long. Good for you for adding your grandson to FamilySearch!!!

Acutally, I have a solution that might work in your instance.
The Memories team recently created an option to edit tag names. You can only edit tag names if you created the tag, but since it sounds like you were the one creating this tag, this might work for you.
Try going into the Memory that you tagged. Click the gear icon next to the tag in the right side-bar. In the pop-up box, you will see the tag name with a pencil icon on the right side—click that option.
From here, you can do two things that will help. First, you will be able to edit the tag name. You will also see ALL INSTANCES where you used that tag name—the edit will change the name for all of those tags.
I hope you will give this a try and let us know if it worked as you hoped….I would like to see some feedback on this new option. Thanks!
