What if the record linked in a hint, is for the RIGHT person, but the WRONG year?
Hello=
I have frequently noticed in my Schleswig-Holstein research, that individuals in the tree have great hints on their page, but the record image linked is for the wrong year. Usually the correct year is not even in the set of images.
This evening I tried the AI Research Assistant, and while it had more complete information than the information previously listed for my ancestor, the link provided was to the same record already attached.
For example:
Christina Feddersens (G946-CTK) was born after her parents' marriage in 1735. In her one source, in addition to her father's name and the church, only the day of the month of her birth, and the day of the month of her baptism have been indexed. The record set linked to her current source is a set of images from 1837 (the from/to years at the beginning of the set is 1763-1874). Christina's siblings' attached sources have the same problem, to the same wrong set of records.
This evening I asked the AI Research Assistant to find some genealogical information on Christina. The answer was GREAT, and provides the month AND the year missing from the previous information. Sadly, the link to the record is linked to the same bad record set—1837.
Who is the right person to direct these questions to as they arise?
Thanks in advance.

@KariM This collection of German Lutheran Church records is often found to have images linked to incorrect films. This may be partly due to filming all right pages of books together and then all left pages, which complicates indexing by year. In this case, the index for Image Group #105488830 should actually be attached to 102744367. However, if Christina was born in March 1736 in Brecklum—as AI suggested, she should be on this page but is not: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSDD-Q431?view=explore&groupId=TH-909-65164-5029-34&lang=en
Although the year is not given, you can find the image for this record hint with the page number:
On page 41 of Film 102744367 (page not image number), Christina’s baptism is shown as 22 August and birth as 16 August, 1742. That correlates with the 16 and 22 found on the record. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSDD-QWYL?view=explore&groupId=TH-909-65164-5029-34&lang=en
I cannot explain where AI came up with the March 1736 date, but keep in mind that our AI Research Assistant relies entirely on available record collections and cannot correct errors in indexing, metadata, or mis-attached indexes.
Hope this helps and yes, I will send in a report on the indexing error.
