I have a request that they stop updating for a while. Seems like any time they make changes there are issues that follow. I've had catalogs become unavailable and now this. Hope it gets fixed but it's a bit frustrating. The site has been working well for a while up until recently. The work around is to copy the link and create a source manually. It works, a bit more time consuming, but gets the job done.

@StephenDespot Are you having issues linking a record image using the "Attach to Tree" button? You need to use the new image viewer and its Save Record button.

I'm using the viewer that the site pulls up automatically and it's the same for everything else. They changed it a while back, a year maybe. The viewer I use was functioning properly yesterday and any other day but not today. I have no control over what viewer to use. It's what they give me.

Catalogs is the easiest way to go when I need to find stuff for a village. That's the go-to for everyone who uses this site and has been since forever. That brings up all the books you need for a particular place and you can pick which one you need to be in. They need to go back to that. It worked fine yesterday.

Images does the same. It is a still a catalog, but works a little differently. They are working on getting everything moved over to the new system. You know how many microfilms FamilySearch has…it is taking some time getting every link correct.

Looking at the Images idea, it's not very well organized. I don't like the way this is laid out. Too difficult to find stuff and information that the Catalogs would provide once entering that way is not available on the Images layout. Not sure it's a great idea yet.
