Hi @Ron Walter. Fortunately, the search feature isn't permanently going away, but undergoing coding upgrades.

Unfortunately, these pages are not available while we upgrade to improved technology for a better user experience.
As part of this update, we are investigating how best to support the finding and sharing of Memories. We would appreciate hearing which features you most enjoyed from the “People” and “Find” pages as well as thoughts that might make them better.
Your feedback will help us as we upgrade to a new and improved version of Memories—without losing important functionality. Please share your feedback!"

I named the files so I could find them if the search portion worked. When you post as many memories as I have the gallery is getting really slow. For my use, I could use a method of dropping off all the memories from the gallery from that last 3 months for example. A-Z does not work (if is does, the time lag might be a few hours)

Yes, it is a known issues that large galleries load so slowly. Sorry about that—the Memories team is aware and working on fixes.
I tested sorting by title (A-Z), I could get mine to work fine. Which does lead me to believe that yours is not sorting BECAUSE of how large your gallery is. I will share this note with the Team again.
