Meanwhile, the word 'tag' is used for another purpose also, to signal the connection between a source and a specific fact or event on a Person profile (or on a Couple Relationship).

This person may be referring to TOPIC TAGS . . .
if so - the answer is totally different.
which is why I kind of dislike the multiple meanings of the lingo TAG as it is used in FamilySearch

Topic Tags (if used) help classify items into specific topics/key words - that can then be used to find all items that are all marked with the same topic tag .. BUT because there is no consistent use of topic tags across all users - its use is rather limited and faulty.2
