What does "Wg" mean for the race category?
I have a relative in my tree, whose record I was able to find but for her race, it says she is "Wg". I am African American and so is most of my family. The only thing I know is that she is part Cherokee and majority black I do not know what "Wg" means. Has anyone ever seen this before?

I think it is an error in transcription. I think the word is actually Neg, short for Negro, which is one of the options listed at the top of the Race column.

Remember that the 1950 census was the first to be indexed using handwriting OCR - not a human deciphering what was written.
Looking closely, it appears the enumerator started to write "W" (the same as the line above) and modified it "Neg."
Computer reading of handwriting is still in its infancy and often makes mistakes.
