Report a problem: misidentified 1900 U.S. Census Records and missing indexing
The 1900 U.S. Census Records for Little Suamico, Oconto, Wisconsin are misidentified as Leon, Monroe, Wisconsin. I would report this on feedback but it's not working.
Also, where the pages were previously indexed with the name of each resident, that indexing appears to have disappeared. See for example the 1900 census entry for Francis "Frank" Allen, ID 9N5S-VYV. The record was apparently indexed prior to 2013 when it was attached to Frank Allen but now when you go to the image the indexing as disappeared.

Delete everything in the URL beginning with the ? to get to the old view. I copy and paste the part before the ? into a new tab or browser window.

That is likely not an indexing error but an issue with the placename algorithm. You'll see many threads on the subject.
Until recently we had a place to report these problems, but that has changed. We were told the team correcting these errors has sufficient information to make a wholesale correction.

Thanks for your response. I searched around the community threads and I see what you are saying about the placename algorithm (plus learned how to spell algorithm - not how I guessed) but that doesn't account for the missing indexing of residents on a 1900 federal census.
The other useful thing I learned from searching the community is that the reason it said feedback tab wasn't working was actually b/c I had tracking protection on. Would be helpful if the feedback tab advised of this instead of vaguely saying "An error has prevented the requested action". Once I turned off tracking protection, I was able to report the issue through the feedback button.

I think if you look at the 'old' view of the referenced 1900 census you'll see that it has been indexed…

But the 'new' viewer is missing indexing for the reference page as well as what appears to be most, if not all, of the other pages
When looking at the indexed record I've never see the Padlock Icon before… Wonder if that might be related to the issue. Anyone seen that before?

The padlock shows up after a user has made an edit. The Editor a glitch that often causes the index to disappear after the edit. We're told the engineers are working on that issue, but it's been quite a while since there has been any feedback.

Thanks for your response. It's also interesting that the location is correct in the old view.
How did you get to the old view? I would love to be able to do that on a regular basis.
