    @SaylorPerkins

    You can do ordinances on the day they expire, but not the following day.

    Thanks Amy but they must have changed "the rules". I am a family history consultant and folks are confused about these notifications:

    Originally if we had a card printed, they would not expire.

    Here's what I just now received: Expired Printed Cards 6 February 2024 - Please destroy these expired printed t

    Please destroy the temple card listed below to avoid duplicating ordinance work.

    The expired reservations have been shared with the Temple

    Yes, if the ordinance has expired from your Reservations and is now shared with the Temple, you no longer hold the ordinance and should destroy the card. If you chose to reserve the ordinance from the shared temple list and it is back in your Reservations, you could continue to use the previously printed card to complete the work.

    I have two reservations shared with Temple that someone reserved in April 2024. Both expired yesterday, August 9th. Today, they are still showing as Reserved by the same individuals. When will these ordinances be unreserved from these individuals so I may get the work done?

    sugardew Try 'requesting' the ordinances from the person who currently holds them. In Family Search, when you go to the person's name, click on the temple icon on the right side of the box and there should be a 'request' button on the bottom of the record. If that doesn't work or the button isn't clickable, please contact Online Genealogy Help. Or Genealogy Research Help.

    I have been waiting for the ordinance reservation to expire for my cousin so I could reserve them. They were supposed to expire January 1, 2025. I checked this morning January 2, 2025 and they have still not been released. When does the system recognize the expiration date and release them?
