Correcting errors is more time consuming

When I helped review (and correct) the computer generated indexing of the 1950 census, I could process a page in a relatively short time period. To correct errors now is a much more time consuming task. I have a difficult time fixing incomplete households especially when they are on two pages.
Another common error I'm finding is whole pages where Ky was indexed as New York. My research is mostly Pike County so I'm not sure if it's limited to those pages. It's so time consuming to correct those that I only fix the households I'm interested in.

I have seen that too. But I think it may affect more locations that just KY.

It isn't just the 1950 census and it also isn't just FamilySearch. I found pages and pages of Ancestry's 1850 Census for Jefferson Co Iowa where KY was transcribed as NY. It made me so mad. I corrected my relatives. I'm not sure what is causing this.
