Authentication Problems (**NOT** ERROR 15)

For the past couple weeks, my family and I have been having authentication problems upon accessing the FamilySearch website.

To replicate the problem:

  • Log in with the 2 weeks option;
  • Close all tabs related to the FamilySearch website;
  • Come back to the site some time later where you become temporally "logged out" from the site, causing you to have to log back in (but do not do it) by simply pressing the sign-in button. There should be no need to fill out the username/password form;
  • While "logged out," go to the URL 'family search.org/{pathname}' where {pathname} can be any child path of the FamilySearch website.

Result: should get a spinning wheel that will go on and on until you open a new tab and go to familysearch.org home page where you have to press the sign-in button, and go back to the tab where you had the spinning wheel.

Other information: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), Big Sur Version 11.7.4, Safari Version 16.2 (16614.3.7.1.7, 16614)

Hope this problem can be replicated and solved!

Thanks,

Kenner Hartman

    I could not replicate the problem using the steps you gave, but I am certainly not IT. Hopefully, someone else will give it a try.
