Slow and sluggish page loading
Is anyone else seeing issues with Family Search acting slower than normal for the past couple of days? I've tried on different computers and with different family members signing in on their computers. The pages are indeed loading, eventually, but every step is taking longer than normal. Sometimes it is only 3 seconds (which is normally faster than that) but I've had to wait as long as 30-60 seconds. In the world of the internet, that is a LONG time! For example, I click on a person, wait several seconds while it waits to load. I try to standardize a date, but I have to wait several seconds while the little wheel spins. When I add a source, I wait several seconds while it loads up to allow me to add it, and then I wait several more seconds for the Attach button to appear. All the waiting adds up. I've tried everything I can to figure it out. All other websites on my computer load fine. I have great internet speeds. I've emptied the cache, updated everything I can possibly can, I have a new and fast computer. This is a recent change and is happening on different computers and with other family member's accounts. Any suggestions?

The website has been very slow loading pages for the past 2 days and getting slower. My computer is new, with SSD and super fast graphics card, plus other sites are loading normally. Thanks for the chance to post this.
I have used the site daily for many years and have not encountered this problem.

Has FamilySearch been extremely slow for anyone else December 9 to 11?
Other websites go very fast for me. Only FamilySearch is taking forever to load any page. To load a person, to load a record from a search, to load an image. Anything and everything on FamilySearch has been very slow for more than 36 hours now.
Please fix this.

Depending on areas, weather DO affect and high traffic affect the main lines (not websites).

When this was first posted, I hadn't had a problem. But within the last 30 minutes, it has become a crawl. It is so bad I am quitting for the rest of the day. I am in Oregon.

FamilySearch had a problem Friday afternoon where the security was falsely flagging users and denying them access to the website. After the problem was resolved, the website has been acting slow. It resumed back to normal speed Friday evening and the entirety of Saturday, but has since been acting slow today, Sunday.

i have been on FS for many many years, for many hours daily and suddenly, in Dec 2022, it's sllloooow as heck - why? I use Norton 360 for security and had a renewal happen on 12/10 but what on early is wrong?

It was VERY slow all day Sunday 12/11 & is still VERY slow today Monday 12/12. I'm in Missouri.

Several threads were combined into one. Are you still experiencing slow loading? I have not had this issue and want to know if it is still a problem.

Yes, it is now working smoothly. Mine started acting normally late Sunday night, so whatever was happening on Friday and Saturday seems to be gone. Thanks!
