So, today I corrected MY info on my tree (birthdate and ful name) and now when I try to find known ancestors relationships to me I keep getting a msg that we are not related. How do I fix this?

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
Just for starters ...
In the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch' ...
'Yes', to start with, one must add, oneself ...
The NEXT step, once, you have added yourself, is to add your Parents; and, then, their Parents; ETC, Etc; etc ...
In the Process, of "Adding", an individual/person, 'FamilySearch' MAY indicate that the individual/person, may ALREADY be recorded, in the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', that is when, you must INVESTIAGE, the suggested individual/person, to 'see', if, in fact, it is the SAME individual/person, that you are TRYING to "Add".
And ...
IF, it IS the SAME individual/person, that you are TRYING to "Add"; THEN, you accept and use, that particular individual/person.
Whereas ...
IF, it is NOT the same individual/person, that you are TRYING to "Add"; THEN, you "Create" the individual/person, that you entered/input.
As an aside ...
I am not quite sure, were you are 'seeing', the 'Message', that you are not related; UNLESS, you are "Adding" the individuals/persons; as, "Unconnected Persons".
ie. NOT, adding your Parents; and, then, their Parents; ETC, Etc; etc ...
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.
