How to start a project

In 2020, the archives of Canton Valais in Switzerland made available its collection of nineteenth century census records:

https://recensements.vallesiana.ch/

As almost no records from the Canton were previously online, this collection is invaluable

I have been transcribing these records into webpages, town-by-town. But the search capability after this is done are quite limited, and the information is not disseminated broadly. I would much rather be typing the information into a Family Search database, to make the records more widely available and to have the use of the search capabilities like fuzzy naming, wildcards, etc.

Is it possible to get this setup as an indexing project?

From the information in the Help Center, it's not possible to request indexing projects.
