He can do this from his own FamilySearch account.

Because those connections are based on where your tree connects, your husband would need to have his own tree to see his connections.

Just in case (and, I think that you may already have) ...
You can Use the likes to (BYU) "RelativeFinder"; which, is a "Third Party" Application, that is "Certified" to Work with, "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch', to 'see' what People of 'Note', that one is related to- and, MUCH More.
But ...
That Said ...
As has already been proffered, by 'Amy'; and, 'Cindy', it would be BEST, if your Husband had his OWN 'FamilySearch' Account, if he does not already.
The reason being, that 'Connections'/'Links', through one User's/Patron's 'FamilySearch' Account, for a particular individual/person, can be DIFFERENT, for the SAME individual/person, through their OWN 'FamilySearch' Account - it is all a matter of from whose perspective that one is 'looking'.

It's 'Brett'.
Short Answer: You CANNOT through "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'.
Especially, if your late Husband's 'FamilySearch' Account is "Closed" (ie, NO LONGER "Active").
But ...
That Said ...
There are OTHER "Options" ...

IF, your Children, have their OWN 'FamilySearch' Account; THEN, they can simply use, the "Famous Relatives" Section, under the "Activities" 'Tab', in their own right, to 'see' what "Famous Relatives" they have.
[ IF, you are a Member of the Church; THEN, you could become their "HELPER", to do so ... ]

[ ie. A "Third Part" Application, that is "Certified" to Work, with "Family Tree", of 'FamilySearch'

It is very simple, just a matter of "Signing In", with the "Credentials" of one's 'FamilySearch' Account; accepting the "Conditions"; and, the "Connection" between, "FamilySearch'; and, (BYU) "RelativeFinder"; which, then, (BYU) "RelativeFinder", becomes a "Partner" Account, that is "Connected" to one's 'FamilySearch' Account.

You have been given some wonderful information about a third-party program that might be helpful in finding famous relatives of your deceased ex-husband, but may I suggest that it might be fun for your children to learn how to use FamilySearch themselves to do their own research?
The following knowledge article explains that when we want to share Family Tree information, we are asked to invite others to create their own account.
As a parent, you can authorize your children between the ages of 8-12 to have a FamilySearch account, and youth 13 and older can create their own account.
Just as teaching a person to fish allows them to feed themselves all their lives, training your children to work in Family Tree and to do research for themselves can have that same great affect. I hope this suggestion with help you to gather as a family in a joint effort to know your extended family. Bless you in your continued family history efforts.
