How do I index this age?

I'm working on burial records. There are indexing fields for age in seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, and years. If the age is given in years and months, such as 1 year and 9 months, do I index the age in both the months and years fields, or do i just index it as 1 year?

Thanks for your help!

In both - 1 year and 9 months.

The Field help (the purple circle with white ?) for each of the date fields should help as well - for example:

"Field help for age in seconds:

Type the age in seconds, if recorded on the document.

Do not calculate the age from other information on the document.

If the age was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank."

This basically seems to indicate type what is visible as the age:

    first entry

William Walsh 1 year 9 months - so enter 1 in year field and 9 in months field.

    I hope this helps.

Isn't it fun when none of the examples or instructions cover what you are seeing on your image!!

Thank you for sharing the batch. I went through all of the field helps and examples and I can see why you are asking this question. Should 1yr + 9months be entered as 21 months or as suggested by genthusiast above.

Very good Question. Maybe some one higher up could give a definite answer.

Thank you for all your help. I think I will index the age as Genthusiast suggested. I was debating between this and indexing it as simply 1 year as we do with documents that have only the year field, thinking the months field would be for when the age is recorded on the document only in months. But after reading the suggestions here and reading the helps again, I think Genthusiast's idea is probably the way to go. But it's not 100% clear, so yes, including this in the examples would be a great idea!
