Indexing Error, Wrong Gender
Answers

Not an indexing error but an entry error by the person who created/edited the profile.
You can change the gender by using the edit button adjacent to the sex category.

FamilySearch apparently created the profile? Or from previous FamilySearch user submission...
I find in the Latest Changes - reference that this is a duplicate of L7FX-YF2 - that could not be merged (likely because of gender). If they do need merging then gender should be changed (likely something moderator here can do or refer to specialty team) and then they could be merged.

Gender change is simple. No need to refer anywhere.

Interesting - not too easily on phone :) . Well I figure since the latest changes indicate duplicate - that's what might need to occur - I don't like deleting people...

Here is an article to help you edit the sex in the vital section of a person in FamilySearch https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-correct-the-sex-listed-on-a-persons-record-in-family-tree
Hopefully this will help. Note that as @Áine Ni Donnghaile indicated above that if you are merging any duplicates they need to be the same gender before you can merge.
Thank you for contacting FamilySearch. It has been a pleasure helping you. Best wishes as you continue finding records for your family.
