Here are the general instructions for connecting to Ancestry.
Log on to Family Search. At the bottom of the page click on solutions gallery. Scroll about half way down to LDS Access. Click on more to find Ancestry, click on get started and follow the instructions.

Your information has now been submitted to the department that can help correct the issue you are having with connecting your FamilySearch account to your existing Ancestry.com account. They will contact you for additional information in the near future and then help work on this problem for you. This part of the Community messages will usually appear "closed" but it will then be "open" in another area.

We have spoken with @PF Hansen and he is now able to connect with Ancestry.
