The Groom is Edgar Emerson. Under the box: Names of their parents is a box called Husband. Listed under that category is Alex &. Listed under the box called Mother is Elizabeth Emerson.

I am assuming that Alex is Alex Emerson. Not sure if I am allowed to type Emerson for Alex's surname because the surname is not actually typed in his box, it only shows Alex & in his box. Do I just put 'Blank' for his surname?

Since this is a duplicate question, I will copy and paste the answer I created for the other post.

    The batch is M3WV-BJX

You have mixture of situations from each of the examples.

On the first two where there is no ampersand, I would not index a surname for Joseph or Bailey. We just don't know what their surname is.  (Example 1)

On the next one, all four parents have a different surname. (Example 2)

When it has an ampersand like Alex & Elizabeth Emerson the husband and wife both share the surname of Emerson.  (Example 3)

The next one all 4 parents have different surnames.

On the next line, Rebecca would not have a surname indexed.

    And so on.
