I am working on US, New York, Erie—Index to Land Records, Grantors, 1630–1975 [Part A] [MS15-N7P]
On Line 9 in the Grantor's column it lists what appears to be 3 Given names: Catharine, Louise and William. A similar occurrence is on Line 10, 17, 19. I have decided to list these as separate Grantors listing them each as a separate entry. Is this correct or would you suggest it be done a different way?
Also, would you put 1913? or just 13? The reference pages offer no help and I see no contextual clues. The previous indexer had put 1913. Did they have typewriters in 1813?

Hi Lisa. Yes, those are the Given Names of three separate Grantors, each with Surname Theobold, so each gets a separate Entry. I also can’t see any contextual clues to conclusively help determine the full 4-digit date. They are using a copyright 1930 form to record older records, so that doesn’t help. I think that you have to index just the 2-digit date and let the Researcher speculate as to the full 4-digit date. Here, from the Deed Year Field Help is the pertinent guidance:
Do not calculate a date from other information on the document.
If you cannot determine the 4-digit year, index the 2-digit number. If you cannot determine the 2-digit or 4-digit year, press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank.

It is 1913. An earlier page in images shows this date.

Probably true, but the instructions don’t explicitly allow referring to the Reference Images. They say “the document.” Without explicit instructions to the contrary from the Project Managers via FS Support I would stick to the information available on the batch image - “the document.” And the Researchers can see the Reference Images and draw that conclusion for themselves, so nothing is really lost by strictly sticking to the instructions.
