Hi Everyone! I would appreciate any help on this. I am trying to find any info regards my great-grea
His name was registered differently in Brazil as well as his parents. Maybe they haven't come from Poland, but from Ukraine. Is there any one who could help me. All I have now is his signature with what can be his real name. In fact, there are two names I'd like to find some info:

It could be in Latin Thomas (Tomasz in Polish) Klosiński (Kłosiński in Polish)
Ipolit (Ipolit in Ukrainian, Hipolit in Polish) Zakrzewskij (Zakrzewskij in Ukrainian or Russian, Zakrzewski in Polish).
In Polish it would be:
Tomasz Kłosiński
Hipolit Zakrzewski
The names are very Polish, but under the Russian and Ukrainian rule what you have are probably acceptable by the governing administration variations. Many records in Ukraine were in Latin.
Do you know any place where they were from or dates of birth, also names of parents or siblings?

I need to make correction. It looks more like Kłosieński. There are few Tomasz Kłosieński in the indexed records of Geneszukacz.genealodzy.pl but many records have not been indexed, especially from Ukraine.

Thank you @Eppich Maria. Do you have any idea if the second name could be Polish? That is my great-great-great grandfather: Ipolit ... his last name is difficult to understand. In Brazil they put Hipólito (Equivalent name for Ipolit) Jachewski/Jakcheski, so that mede looking for information about him, even harder.
If you can share any other info with me on that matter, I would appreciate it.

I looked through a number of indexed information in Poland and Ukraine, but I have not been able to find any parish where both Kłosieński and Shendroski (actually Szendrowski) names were in the same parish. I assume that they were Roman Catholic, but because of the spelling Zakrzewskij, I am inclined to think they were in areas under a more strict Russian rule, and they tried to blend in, by making their surname more Russian style (with “j”) at the end. There are several Hipolit Zakrzewski records in geneszukacz.genealodzy.pl within the current Polish borders, but there are no matching records of Maria Szenderowski, birth record and marriage record, and people there did not make their surnames to sound like Russian. I tried to look up some of the indexed records and see if there were additional records in FHL or AGAD.gov.pl/inwentarze/testy.html but I could not find your records there. They could have been from Ukrainian lands which now belong to Belarus or to Russia. There are far too many parishes, and far too many records which are not indexed. Maybe in few years this will change. It is really like looking for a needle in a haystack. I am sorry I cannot help you more. Maybe a Brazilian genealogist could help you or in a Family History Center, maybe they could find the immigration records or ship manifest where they came, as they could have given their place of origin there. If you find it, please let me know and I will try to help you more.

I presume that you are aware of the entries in familysearch.org tree for Zakrzewski (or Jachewski) and Kosienski families by Laura Dipp. she listed a number of children some with birth dates. I just wish we had some names of places where they were born in Poland, Ukraine, or Russia.

Yes, Laura Dipp helped me up to where I am right now. Before her help, I could not have found any of this info about this person in my tree.

Unfortunatley, I don't. Thank you so much for all this you've done.

In fact, I was wondering if this "Thomas" is really a relative. I was looking at the document and the signature is there in the end as a witness, although the document states a "Thomas Ilhauninska" married to "Francisca Ilhauninska", that is kind of what I think it is written, sorry. They are the paternal grandparents to Rosalia and her twin sister Angelica, whose Birthday Certificate this is. So maybe the grandfather is not the same person as the witness, but they mention my ancestor Hipólito Jachewski and his signature is Ipólit... as I have attached to my question. What do you think?

It could be him, but without knowing the place of birth we cannot find him. Lithuania does not have indexed records. Maybe you could check with Brazilian Research Genealogy Community if they could find any information about his place of origin. There are millions of people in Lithuania and too many parishes and towns. I checked in Polish Indexing Geneszukacz.genealodzy.pl but they do not have any Klosienski indexed in Lithuania, there are several indexed Klosinski, but not Tomasz/Thomas. Unfortunately the indexing from Lithuania is very limited.
