When I switch from the column before the Deed Month with Ctrl + ► to the Deed Month Column and then
I am in Column Entry mode. I am reviewing the batch. I use keyboard shortcuts. When I switch from the column before the Deed Month using Ctrl + ► to the Deed Month column and then click on any record, the field is emptied out for the record that the cursor was on and the record that I clicked on. It also happens if I am on the column after the Deed Month column and switch to the Deed Month column using Ctrl + ◄ and click on any record, that record and the one I was on when I switched to the Deed Month column are both emptied out.
The started happening on about 7/26/2021. Before this the data was not lost when I clicked on a record. I reported this to “Indexing support” on 7/28/2021. Nothing happened. I reported it again on 8/1/2021 and 8/11/2021 when I was told it was a virus on my PC. I have exhaustively scanned for virus on my PC using Norton antivirus and AVG antivirus and have not found anything . It is happening on four (4) computers that I have tried it on.
THIS IS A BUG! PLEASE FIX IT.

Is anything going to be fixed?

Have you forwarded it to a specialty team yet? If so when? I have not been contacted. What's going on?

If you have the same problem when you change computers, it sure doesn't sound like a virus. And also not like a rogue keyboard. Does it happen on every single batch from the project you're working on? Do you have an example batch that you can share (I'm curious)? Not as a solution, but more as a diagnostic, have you tried a Ctrl+Z to see if an "undo typing" does anything, at least to the latter of the two emptied fields. It sounds like you're somehow generating a couple of successive Deletes.

Yes, it happens on all batches in the project. I don't know if it happens on other projects. I haven't tried them to see if it happens. Try any batch in the "US, New York, Erie—Index to Land Records, Grantors, 1630–1975 [Part A][MS1Y-65G]" Project. I have found 4 computers that it happens on. That's all that I have tried.
This is a bug! It used to work right and is failing since the latter part of July. Indexing will not fix bugs. And I am quite sure they won't fix this one.

This has been happening to me for weeks now and it is frustrating.

Yes, it is. I have tried since the end of July to get the Programmers to fix it, but they won't address it. The support people say it has been escalated to the "Engineers", but I have seen no evidence of this.
Thanks for telling me that it is happening to you, too. I don't know what we can do about it. I'm going to try something to show "Indexing leadership" that it is a bug and should be addressed. I hope I can get it higher on their priority list.
