Hello I am Dave Petrosky and have a question.
I have been a member of Family Search for many years. About 20 years ago I purchased a few Micro Fisch tapes from you for the village of Porac in Slovakia, where it happens that my family originates at least as far back as the 1780"s . Well I was wildly successful with my family tree when I purchased the tapes back in about 2002. I called down to the Family History Center where I spent hours reviewing the tapes and gathering family information from about 1788 to 1830 in Porac Slovakia. UNFORTUNATELY, I left the tapes there in case some else might want to use them. However, the Family History Center in Holidaysburg PA Claim they do not have the tapes. Subsequently, I went on your website, to try to purchase the Porac Slovakia tapes again only to find that I can no longer buy these films from you. I have been waiting very patiently hoping and praying that my family village would someday be on line, but in all these years, only partial information is there, but no actual book images of the births, deaths and marriages after the late 1780"s, and this is where my family lived at this time. Although I made several xerox copies of the tapes, I would love to be able to search these original files now as I dig further into my family history . Is there anything I can do to try and seeing the Porac Slovakia tapes, buy them again or even help with placing them on line so the information is available, and I can do more research on my family.
