I know this question has been asked and answered but either I get referred to the now not used Facebook page or it says I don't have permission.

Can someone please give me simple directions????? Please :)

Steps to share a batch (2 ways)

    1. When your batch is open, click Help, just above the toolbar.
    2. On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
    3. The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:

    Copy the batch link

    Share the batch code

Also if you want to look at a shared batch, click on Help and then choose Open Shared Batch. Then paste in the Batch number.

I'll give you a really easy way.

If you don't know how to use copy and paste, write down the letters and maybe numbers that are in the brackets and at the top of your screen. You are looking for something like this:

[M3HV-KHT] which is after the title of the project.

    Example: US, New York—Naturalization Records, 1820–1991 [Part B] [M3HV-KHT]

All you need to do is type that sequence of letters and numbers [M3HV-KHT] with your question and you have Shared the Batch Code.

You can type that sequence as a Comment too.

Thank for the answers but I guess I wasn't clear enough in my question.

I can find and copy and paste the numbers but the directions say to send a link in a message or the batch number to the person you are sharing it with. BUT where do I send it?? How do I find a person to share it with??? Please someone help with the final step

Once you share the batch number here, then a person will be able to open the batch, see what you are seeing and help you with any questions you have about the batch. The only reason to share a batch is to get help with a question, or if you want to be sure that you are correctly indexing or reviewing the batch. The person with whom you "share the batch" can not make any changes to the index, or help you index. It is just for asking and answering questions.

Oh.....I share a batch here in community help? How do I do that?

And thank you, yes, I want help with the batch. I've shared a batch in the past and know what it's about but it's been a while and the process has changed.

Yes, we share a batch number or batch code with all our questions-

Steps to share a batch (2 ways)

    1. When your batch is open, click on Help, just above the toolbar.
    2. On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
    3. The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:

-Copy the batch link- copy and paste it on where you post your question or comment

-Share the batch code- for example [ MX3R-1X5]- copy the code and paste it with your question or comment.
