There is a mistake in the mother of Gov John Dickenson (KJ46-8FN)

His father is correctly identified as Samuel Dickenson (K82R-WDT). But his mother is NOT Mary Cadwalader (L89D-8FN)

This Mary Cadwalader is listed with a date of birth of 1731. She cannot be the mother of John Dickenson (KJ46-JCZ) who was born in 1732.

But Mary Cadwalader (K8PJ-1HR) born in 1711, (daughter of John Cadwallader and Martha Jones ) who married Samuel Dickenson in 1731 and died in 1797 is the mother of John Dickenson.

@roberttest We admire the skill of those folks who can find reliable records for ancestors born in the 1700's . Good Work!. Your question will be forwarded to a specialty team for review and resolution.

You may be contacted by that team if they need to gather more information

    Dear RobertTest,

Thank you for contacting FamilySearch and bringing your concern to our attention. The ordinances for Gov. John D. Dickinson KJ46-JCZ now appear in Family Tree. His parents are now listed as Judge Samuel D Dickinson K82R-WDT and Mary Cadwalader K8PJ-1HR.

    Kind regards,
