ADOPTION, BORN 1937? , MISSING AFTER 1941?

Am attempting to locate 1st. Cousin. How is possible adoption determined?

Ann Elizabeth, (GH43-DMT), was born 1937, New York. Mother Mary (BROWN) died 1941, New York. Father Ralph Maro, (1912-1982) Served in United States Army, (1943-1945) Have not been able to determine whether drafted, or Volunteer. AS single parent, would he not have been rejected?

Ann Elizabeth Rutledge , June 5, 1937-search, Sidney, Delaware, New York.

Mary E. (Brown) Rutledge, 1912, Canada- 1940, New Rochelle, New York.

Ralph Maro Rutledge, (LK4T-XC1) 1912, Chicago, Ill-1982, Portlandville, New York

    To answer your first question about adoption we recommend that you search the FamilySearch Wiki. Go to FamilySearch.org sign in and go to Search --- Research Wiki. Enter Adoption Research and review that article. There are several links in this article one that probably will be the most productive is United States Adoption Research Strategies, 1900s-2000s
