Inaccurate information added by others to my tree
Can I have access to my original family tree before others added extra information to it that is not accurate? If not, can I delete my family tree without messing up the site for these other people?

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, one who has nee using "Family Tree" (and, its forerunner) of 'FamilySearch', for many Years ... ]
Short Answer: Unfortunately, 'No', to BOTH, 'Questions', with regard to "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
I know that this does not help.
I just wanted you to be aware.

Furthermore ...
Here an old 'standby' of mine, that I have previously proffered on occasion ...
------------------
Most new (and, some old) Users/Patrons DO NOT understand the basic 'nature' and 'premise' of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', when they join in.
Please let me explain ...
We do not have our OWN "Tree" in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
We ONLY have "Branches" (ie. Ancestral" lines), that are interconnected, in this SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is NOT like 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
We DO NOT have "Private"/"Personal" 'Trees' in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' like other 'On-Line' "Websites"; and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes.
We do not even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, the "Deceased" individuals/persons in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
And, most importantly ...
We DO NOT even, own; or, manage; and, are NOT even responsible for, Our OWN "Deceased" Ancestors/Family/Relatives in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
"Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' is built on a "Open Edit" Platform - hence, why any registered User/Patron can "Edit" (ie. Add, Delete; and/or, Change) ANY "Deceased" individual/person in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
------------------
I know that this does not help; but, I hope that this gives you some perspective.

@BdV2000 We appreciate how frustrating it can be when other contributors make incorrect changes to your hard work.
To response to your questions, "Can I have access to my original family tree before others added extra information to it that is not accurate? " It is kind of a Yes and No answer. Every now and then a snap shot of the tree, as it looked at that tick of the clock is posted on a beta site. The beta site is not updated on a scheduled basis, so you may find what the tree looked like yesterday or several months ago. the URL is beta.familysearch.org The site operates just like the one you are used to, with the exception that nothing you do on the beta site will cross over to the "real" familysearch.org. This can be useful in seeing what the family line looked like before the changes. The ID could be used to reconnect deleted relationships.
As for deleting your your tree, that can not be done. Remember there is the possibility that some of your ancestors are also ancestors of other users of Family Search, Family Tree.
All you can do is delete your access to it.

FYI
As an aside ..
There is another option, that no longer using, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...
And, it an option/alternative that, MANY; Many; many, Users/Patrons, of "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' use ...
IF, you do not already; THEN, ...
One can utilise of the "Third Party" Applications [ being, "Family Tree Management" programmes ] that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
The "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' can be found in the "Solutions Gallery" of 'FamilySearch'.
Here is a direct link to the "Solutions Gallery" of 'FamilySearch':
https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/
And, here is the direct link to the "Family Tree Management" programmes, themselves:
https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/list?category=family_tree_management
"Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' include, BOTH, 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes ("Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).
Some of the "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' have, BOTH, a Basic FREE version; and/or, a Premium PIAD (ie. "Subscription") version, the latter just having more 'Bells and Whistles'. The Basic FREE version is sufficient for most, the average, User/Patron. Whereas, the Premium PAID (ie. "Subscription") version is the choice of most experienced and 'power' Users/Patrons.
One can use ONE or MORE than one, of the the "Third Party" Applications, the choice is yours.
Most of the "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that are "Family Tree Management programmes, have INTERFACES that work/connect (directly) with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that can, "Download"; and, "Upload" (ie. "Transfer) between the "Third Party" Application and "Family Tree".
Using, one or more, of the "Third Party" Applications, that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', being a "Family Tree Management programme, will enable one to maintain a "Private" Database, that cannot be accessed by any other User/Patron, unless one so desires; and, yet, on the other hand, you can also work in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
Just a thought.
I know that this might not help; but, I hope that this gives you some perspective; and, another avenue to explore.

The Family Tree Relationship charts that show my descent from Wesley Whitfield Prothro and his wife, Emily Rebecca Beckham are flawed, insofar as they depict Estella Martha Prothro as two different persons in the line of descent. Estella Martha Prothro, a daughter of George Prothro and Ida Emily Jones, was my mother. She was born 17 August 1895, in Owen Township, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and died at Washington, D.C. , on !4 June 1959. She married my father, Edward Herbert Coulter (1885-1976), as his second wife, on 26 February 1927, at Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Edward H. Coulter and Estella Martha Prothro had but two children, George Prothro Coulter (me), born 8 June 1930, at El Dorado, Union Co., Arkansas, and Murray Whitfield Coulter, born 2 May 1932, at El Dorado, Union Co., Arkansas. Estella Martha Prothro definitely was but one person, not two, and she had no children other than me and my younger brother, Murray Whitfield Coulter.

Thanks everyone for your help and candid answers. I will use the beta site to look up my original info and then will no longer use this site.
