Have your tried Search Wiki?
This is the link to Search Wiki Sicily
You can also find Search Wiki under the 'Search' tab on most FamilySearch pages. Just click on the tab and then click on Research Wiki.
I hope this is of some help.
Happy hunting

Thank you for these suggestions, I will look into them. I already have information in regard to one side of my family back to 1800. I am looking for record sources that I can investigate from 1799 back 1600's. I know going to Sicily again would be of benefit but due to Covid I am reluctant. Again, thank you.

@John (Jack) Runfola, you might also consider visiting the Italy Genealogy Research community group; clicking the title will take you to that group. In the group, as you look at the various Discussions, you will see several questions pertaining to Sicily. I believe that you may find some help by joining this group.
As to other sites, outside of FamilySearch, searching the internet will lead you to other sites that may be of interest; however, you would probably get the best suggestions by raising this question in the above research group.
Best of luck in finding your Sicilian ancestors.
