I have hit a brick wall with Anne Cross who married John M Ardle in or around 1839 in County Armagh Ireland. They had at least 3 children that I know of, Mary, James and John. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Desmond

At the moment a group of people are indexing church records from Ireland. The first batch includes County Armagh. I have come across the name M'Ardel or McArdel several times. I do not know when they will be released to the public.

In the mean time maybe Search Wiki will be of some help. This is the link.

Best of luck and keep on coming back, hopefully you will find al those records are there to view.

If you would like to try your hand at indexing those records you help would be very welcome. You would need to go to FamilySearch, click on indexing and then web indexing. Click on the blue box 'Find Batches.' Then type in the area you want, ensuring all the difficulty levels are ticked. If you need any tuition it will be gladly given. The more hands to this project the better. Alternately let us know and we will go from there.
