Andrea, you now have access to your FamilySearch account while you are in Japan - but please wait about a half hour for verification to take place

As an aside ...
'Seeing'; as, you are, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ] ...
Query ...
When we travelled the World, a few Years ago now, there were a number of "Countries", around the World, where we could NOT access "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, then, there were other "Countries", where we could simply NOT access 'FamilySearch' at ALL - Japan, being just one, of the many such "Countries".
While travelling, we became aware of the various reasons, for such "Restrictions".
The problem was, back then, while travelling, when 'FamilySearch' could NOT be accessed (from certain "Countries"), it was NOT so easy to contact 'FamilySearch' (as, it is today).
Question:
Are there ANY, readily available, "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch', where the LIST of those "Countries", where access to either, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and/or, simply 'FamilySearch', CANNOT be accessed, is available?
IF, not; THEN, how can one obtain such.
'Thank You' in advance.

In the FS Terms of Use is the following statement:
"This site is not intended for use in the Russian Federation and, therefore, should not be accessed within the Russian Federation. Moreover, due to local legal considerations in Japan, we do not generally allow residents of Japan to access this site. In some instances, subject to legally necessary measures and controls, we may allow limited access to specially authorized individuals and registered Church members in Japan. "
But I wouldn't be suprised if there are many other countries where FS is not accessible. For example, I highly doubt that China lets its citizens access FS due to its connections with American religion.

You know what ...
It has been a few years now; and, as it was, INTERNET access, was generally, hard to get; and, ONLY available in the Better Accommodation ...
IF, my memory serves my correctly (which is sometimes, does not); THEN, I did get access to 'FamilySearch' while in CHINA; whereas, in JAPAN, I did not (obviously, as per, that "Terms of Use").
Mind you. I do definitely remember, not being able to get, access to "Google", while in CHINA.
But, that said, of course, things may be quite different ... these days ...
