The best way to handle this correction is to add the source to the person page of the family members included on the image but not in the index. Then you can edit the attached source and add a note in the description that they are on the image but were not included in the index of the record.

To add a souce to a person page, First copy the source to you source box. See Help Center Article Titled "How Do I Copy a Source to My Source Box?" https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-copy-a-source-to-my-source-box

    Steps (website)

    1. Click the title of the source that you want to add to your source box.
    2. Click View Source.
    3. Click View.
    4. Click Copy to My Source Box.

    Click OK

Then, Here's how to attach sources from your Source Box to people in Family Tree:

How do I attach a source from Source Box?

    Steps (website)

    1. While signed in to FamilySearch, click Family Tree.
    2. Navigate to the Person Details page for your ancestor.
    3. Click the Sources tab.
    4. Click the Add Source button and then Attach from Source Box.
    5. To the right of the source, click Attach. (If the source is attached to a person, it shows a paper clip icon instead of the word "Attach.")
    6. Explain your reason for attaching it.
    7. Click Attach.

After you have added the source to the persons missing on the index, you can edit the attached source.

See: Help Article Titled: How do I edit a source in Family Tree?
