an incorrect merge +
Thomas Bond KDS6-1C9 baptised 1781 Preston, Lancashire was merged with Thomas Bond KPWX-89N baptised Ulverston, Lancashire 1781 in March 2021. KPWX-89N was deleted and is my grandfather. I asked my niece Catherine to sort this problem, unfortunately she made KDS6-1C9 into our grandfather instead of keeping him as KDS6-1C9.
His father Thomas Bond KPWX-8ZT was merged Thomas Bond L2Q4-LJY. Then a marriage was added if he was baptised as a baby he would have been 11 year old when he got married. There have been a number of contributors and that has confounded the problem. Problems stemming from this for instance two wives and two sets of children and contributions after.

In regards to the merge on the record of Thomas Bond KDSC-1C9. Are you concerned because the ID number changed?
If they were the same individual the information would stay the same. You can restore his record, by clicking Find, search by ID, enter the number, and click on ‘Person’ on the card rather than name, when his name comes up, look right for Restore Person. Use the link below:
The listed father, Thomas Bond L2Q4-LJY, has both Thomas Bond KDS6-1C9 and Thomas Bond K4YY-N88 listed as children. The merge on his record cannot be undone, so you may need to create a new record for him. The link below may be useful.
We hope this helps.
