How do I receive permission to add photos or documents to an ancestor who is Read Only. He is my 3rd Great Grandfather.

    @mistylynnvaterlaus1

    FYI

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    You have taken the FISRT Step ...

    Hopefully, a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], may TAKE ON, this post of yours, INTO the Workings, of 'FamilySearch' "Support"; and, contact you "Privately" through either, (Private) 'Messaging'; or, DIRECT "E-mail".

    So that, you DO NOT, have to provide, the "Details", in the "Public" nature, of this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch'

    What are read-only records in Family Tree?

    Where it states, among other things

    Quote

    ------------------

    A moderator can move your question to a team who can help. The team contacts you through a private messages in Community if they need more information.

    I hope this helps.

    Good Luck.
