Hi, I have a batch of only one sheet with 3 names. However, for some reason it thinks there are 10 listings instead of 3. It's forcing me to add 7 more people even though the rest of the lines are blank. Also, how do you save your work? Thanks

Usually it is best to share a batch to get a great answer. Since this question is asked a few times a week, if not a few times a day, it is apparent what the problem is:

These projects have a pre-set number of entries. In your case, it must say 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc. You need to index the information on your image and then delete the unused entries. Click on the trash can icon, select "all blank entries", click delete. You will now have 1 entry and be able to submit the batch.

The program automatically saves your work as you index. If you are ever worried that it won't because you are exiting the program, you can click on the 1st arrow in the toolbar to go back to web-indexing before closing the program.

    Hi Sharonrt,

To give you an accurate response, please share the batch code. When you need help with a batch, you can share it with another indexer. This person can then see details of the batch and give you the help you need, but any information the helper enters into the data entry area will not be saved.

    Steps

    1. Just above the toolbar, click Help.
    2. On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
    3. The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:
      • Copy the batch link, and paste it in an email to the helper or post it on the Share Batch, Etc. page on Facebook. The helper can click the link and go directly to the batch.
      • Share the batch code so the helper can enter it in the web indexing tool and open the batch.
    • A second way to find the batch code is by clicking Batch, then About Batch. The Batch ID is the same as the code.

Hope to hear from you soon.
