Hello!

I know in FamilySearch there is option to choose a State (in the U.S.), County and even city district. I forgot how to click this options and I would like if you could give me instruction for that (steps). I hope this is possible.

God bless you!

Would be nice to know if you are indexing, Can you please share the batch code your are working on.

    Steps:

    1. When your batch is open, click Help, just above the toolbar.
    2. On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
    3. The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options:

    Copy the batch link

    Share the batch code

Are you working on your own family research or on indexing? We are not quite sure what you are referring to if you are indexing. Would you please clarify for us so we can better help you?

Thank you very much! I do not have the code now, ... I know it is possible to search inside of particular county.

Yes. I am doing a doctoral thesis about Slovenian community (parish) in Joliet, Illinois. Joliet belongs to the Will county and has (I think 8 districts). It would be nice to go so far as to see these districts on this page and than find names and last names of the people in particular district.

    God bless you!

The search filters only go down to the county level:

    https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?q.givenName=John&q.surname=Smith&c.birthLikePlace1=on&f.birthLikePlace0=10&c.birthLikePlace2=on&f.birthLikePlace2=10%2CIllinois%2CWill&count=100&offset=0&m.defaultFacets=on&m.queryRequireDefault=on&m.facetNestCollectionInCategory=on

For greater granularity than that, you could try starting with the catalog, although I don't see anything Slovenian-specific, nor anything about districts (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=100&placeId=199495&query=%2Bplace%3A%22United%20States%2C%20Illinois%2C%20Will%2C%20Joliet%22&subjectsOpen=353111-50,454241-50).

Joliet is in two counties - Will and Kendall.

    Maybe this will help: https://www.willcountyillinois.com/County-Offices/Administration/GIS-Division/Map-Gallery/County-Board-Districts
