Joined quite a while ago, but ran into a problem. Is Family Search only available to Mormons?
Previously I was working on here and got some messages - the gist of which helped me find some relatives. A lady named Mary Jane Arthur was in the process of looking something up for me. She ran into a glitch with my user name and said she would check with her boss. I never heard from anyone again. Is this because I am not Mormon that I can't seem to go any further? Is there a problem with my account?

DaleCampi,
Thank you for your post.
No Family Search is open to members and non-members alike.
Are you have trouble signing into your account? If you need to retrieve your username or reset your password, below is a link to a Help Center article that can help you do that.
You can also call us at 1-866-406-1830 if you are calling from the US or Canada.
If this is not this issue, please reply with more detailed information.

There are records on FS that only Latter Day Saints (aka Mormons) can view, or that Latter Day Saints (LDS) get better access to. This is due to contracts and deals between FS, record owners and the major commercial websites such as Ancestry.com
For example, the images of UK census records can be viewed by LDS from any computer. Everyone else can only view these images at a Family History Center or Affiliate Library.
Another example, images of records from the Holland America shipping line can only be viewed by LDS. It is not possible for non-LDS to view them at FS at any location under any circumstances.
