You do not index Sr or Jr if there is not a Suffix Field. The titles are ignored. If this is a city directory project, Joe Smith only needs to be indexed once.

When the Researcher uses the Index and goes into the record from the Indexing reference, he will see that there are two " Joe Smith's" or more in the Directory. The researcher will then make the decision which one or all that he can use in his research. Indexing will still be a great help to the Researcher for locating an Ancestor. Thanks for taking the time to Index.
